Venom In Vegas
A guy from Animal Planet is spending 10 days in a glass booth on the Strip, with dozens of venomous snakes for company. He gets visited by camera crews. The snakes are fed cute little mice.
Why do I keep thinking Steve Irwin and Siegfried & Roy?

They may be nice photos, but I won't linger.
ReplyDeletewhat happens when he needs the bathroom or goes to sleep? is he there all the time? I wouldn't fancy it & I bet it'd smell a bit ripe too...
ReplyDeleteNice shots.
ReplyDeleteIs he doing it to raise awareness of something?
He has a bathroom behind frosted glass.
ReplyDeleteAnd he's raising awareness of a TV channel called Animal Planet.
I love the reflections and light in your first photo.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could stand being in there with the snakes eating the mice & such. & I definitely wouldn't be able to sleep at night in there either.
I have to ditto everything that Lily has said!! But I do know about Animal Planet and it does a lot to try and inform the public about animals of all kinds and I think that is good! I'm just not fond of snakes or their devouring mice. Oh, and I am glad his bathroom has frosted glass!! We can probably do with a little less realism in regards to bathroom usage. Great post for the day! Hope you have a great week! Roll a couple of good ones for my, ok???

I don't blame you for thinking along those lines. I would be leaning that way too. Only in Vegas?

Great shots! Have to wonder WHY he is doing this though...
ReplyDeleteGood cause no doubt, but I can't imagine myself doing anything like this.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, but scary.
ReplyDeleteThat is creepy! Not sure I could watch through the glass let alone be in there!
ReplyDeleteAmazing photo-op, I won't last 10 minutes there...
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, but its looks creepy to me.
ReplyDeleteWow! I envy you, I love snakes. Why can't the AP-guy come here?
ReplyDeleteI don't bother about snakes, but I wouldn't like to see them eating a cute little mouse. It's already awful when my cats bring them in ... alive ! I always try to safe them, lol !
ReplyDeleteThese are great shots. I hope he doesn't have to sleep in there...
ReplyDeleteYou got some great shots. Better him than me.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! First and second shots are fantastic! I'm not very brave when it comes to snakes although I've had some 'close encounters' and a couple of stories while travelling in the tropical jungles... :-)))
ReplyDeleteUh -Oh! My heart is racing. See ya later, W! (Great shots - I think...)
ReplyDeleteCool--I love snakes, I used to be a snake handler.
ReplyDeleteA SNAKE HANDLER!!!! LOVE SNAKES!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteOMG OMG OMG OMG
I'm having bad dreams while still awake.
This can't end nicely.
ReplyDeleteSnakes are wonderful creatures, though at times they get a bad Rep... love the photo.
ReplyDeleteNice captures! Great textures and contrasts.
ReplyDeleteI like snakes--but I like mice, too, used to raise them both--but I don't keep snakes any more--in part because I don't like feeding them.
