Vegas is dotted with seedy motels. All of the above -the Happi Inn, Fun City, Tod Motel are on L.V. Boulevard. As long as you have the money, no questions asked. Some people pass through, others end up staying for years.

The Old El Cortez Is New Again



Sometimes they don't blow up old buildings in Vegas, but renovate them. Also, old neon signs are being pulled from the neon graveyard and installed on Fremont St - makes it quite wonderful.

Colorful Downtown



They've certainly painted the town red... and orange and turquoise and purple, in the hopes of reviving downtown. But can it ever compete with the Strip? I kind of liked it when it used to be sleazy and cheap, but this is fun, too.

Beatles At The Mirage



The Mirage has a Cirque de Soleil Beatle show "Love" and it's all festive psychedelia on the`way to the showroom. They even have Beatle slot machines.

Hoover Dam



The Hoover Dam, completed in 1935, made it possible for Vegas to exist. It supplies power to 4 neighboring states via the giant generators 700 feet underground - it's all very art deco.
