Downtown It's The Summer Of Love

Downtown on Fremont Street they're celebrating the 40th anniversary of the summer of love. I thought the summer of love was in 1967, but who's counting? They have free shows - The Grass Roots above - and Binions is displaying a tie-die Baldwin piano.

Goodbye WSOP 2009 - Champions

Phil Ivey, besides winning 2 bracelets this year, made it to the final table of the main event to be played in November - he is considered the finest poker player today. Last year's H.O.R.S.E tournament winner, Scotty Nguyen (former world champion as well) happened to be seated next to this year's winner, David Bach, who is yawning. Bottom photo is full of champions - in the foreground, Todd Brunson (Doyle's son), in the background from left, Chris Ferguson, Doyle Brunson (both former world champions), Jeff Lisandro in the hat & blue shirt, winner of 3 bracelets this year and behind him, Barry Greenstein.

WSOP - Main Event

Last year's champion, Peter Eastgate (top in the middle, next to Barry Greenstein's son, Joe Sebok)), didn't make it to the final table, but finished in the top 100 - not bad. Antonio Esfandiari busted out #24 and the last woman standing, Leo Margets, a Spanish firecracker, made it to #27 (over $300,000 in winnings).

WSOP - The Studs Of Poker & A Clever One

The handsome men of poker, Patrick Antonius and Gus Hansen. Vitaly Lunkin, not quite as cool looking, but he won the $40,000 buy-in hold 'em tournament (1.9 million) and came in 4th in the H.O.R.S.E.
