Retired In America

You can retire very comfortably, adequately or not so well. You can retire in Boulder City or downtown Vegas. Best to avoid retirement all together.

  2. Well, I was retired unwillingly at 67, but at least I don't have to live in a home with all the other old people -- probably not nice of me, but I don't think I would last long that way! Yes, great shots!!

  6. Hot theme, plenty of pensioners here: people in their early sixties or even in late fifties idling around with newspapers on a bench.
I don't know how we can afford this anymore...

  7. I like the contrasting shots. Thanks for visiting mine and to answer your question, I'm really not sure why there were so many geese at the lake in my post. I guess it could have to do with migration patterns.

Retirement is okay, being inactive is not.

  9. Retirement in Niger is pretty good! You get to be the center of attention, and spend the rest of your days with enjoying your loved ones.

  10. Hopefully I have about 25 years to go until that moment is ahead. Good luck whatever it is that you may choose to do.

  11. Well, it's hard to imagine how it is like being retired. But, you know, today is today and tomorrow will be tomorrow...

  12. Thanks for the visit to my Powell River BC post. We "retired" and moved to Canada to live in a float cabin on Powell Lake. It is more like reinventing ourselves actually. I couldn't be happier and hope to spend the rest of my days in the back country enjoying nature. - Margy
