People gather in the upscale shopping center, Town Square, south of the Mandalay Bay. In the middle, there is a village green with fake grass, where people bring their dogs. Teenagers like to hang in the lobbies of expensive shops, hoping to meet other teenagers.
That is fine photography. I have a tz1 and an fz18, lumix the both. They don't seem to be able to do that. Could it be the skill of the user????
ReplyDeleteYour focus on these shots is amazing, W. I like the movement in the first and the lighting in the last. (What a Hunk - oh - too old for that kind of talk, I guess.) I wonder - is the man in the second a dog trainer? I had to laugh at your comment in the last post that the sleezy pedicure place was across from a big Walmart - unsafe, indeed! Your photos would be great story-starters.
ReplyDeleteCrash, the settings on digital cameras can be quite complicated - Suzi had hers on overexposed, before it broke down. You need to sit down and go over ALL the settings - it took me a while before I figured them out - and not all of them, yet.

Suzi has convinced me to buy a Canon G-11, so I am saving my poker winnings to get one. At my win rate, they will have brain lobe-controlled cameras before my winnings will pay for one. I will also save up my limited-lobe capacity to tweak that one. Then there is a small matter of subject choice and composition. That is where I urge you to check out "Something Beautiful."

ReplyDeleteOnce Wolynski fixed my exposure I got great shots with the Lumix...but I lust for more.

The square looks quite normal, but obviously it isn't. I really love the fake grass thing.
