I have never understood the attraction...Star Trek? Boring! But, hey, to each his/her own!
What is interesting here is that people really need to connect with each other at a level with which they feel comfortable. For some it is joining a choir, for others it is playing sport, for others it is their local church. For me it is photography. For you it is Star Trek. I do not have a problem with that at all. I like the fact that you feel very enthusiastic about it.I also like the bloke who dressed the part ...
Oh, I'm a secret Star Trek fan! Great shots.
I am sometimes amazed by the kind of conventions that are organized in Vegas. But as long as everyone is happy let them have their fun. It makes nice pictures. I like your second photo. What would they be saying to each other?
How exciting, to dress up as star trek characters. Great shots.
I fuckin love Star Trek & am a bit of a Trekker myself. And Trekker not Treckie... there's a big difference you know.
Ah, Vegas at it's most fun! Amazing to me that Star Trek continues to be so very popular. I, too, am amazed at the conventions one can only find in Vegas! Another world all it's own! Fun post as always and terrific shots! Hope your week is off to a great start! Enjoy!Sylvia
not a fan of the show, but always wanted to peek my nose at the convention :Dwww.ewok1993.wordpress.com
interesting convention. not really a Star trek fan but it's fun how avid followers would make the trip and wear a costume.:p is there a Star Wars convention, too?:p
one time I was in Vegas for a convention and couldn't figure out why I kept seeing people in Trekkie outfits...at first I just chalked it up to 'well, this is Vegas'...then I realized that the Trekkie convention was also in town :)
