The Morelli House
The 1958 Morelli House was transported intact from the Desert Inn golf course to Downtown with the fireplace, commodes and wallpaper... and possibly the two ladies standing in the front entrance.

The Morelli House - 60's Vegas
The Morelli House, built in 1958 by the Sands orchestra conductor, has been perfectly preserved down to the red linoleum in the kitchen and the vinyl banquette dining table.

The Rat And The Fatcat At The Stratosphere
Every morning, protesting workers inflate a rat and a fatcat (squeezing a worker) in front of the Stratosphere - they're not pleased the casino has hired non-union labor. With the rat, Paul Benigno, President of Operative Plasterers & Cement Masons.

Everyone Got Married In Vegas On 10-10-10
One small chapel had 162 weddings scheduled for 10-10-10. It's a wonder anyone had time to say "I do", cry, kiss and pose for photos, before the next bride was hastily rushed in.

The Liberace Museum Is Closing
Alas, our foremost cultural institution is closing later this month. They were going to make a Liberace film starring Michael Douglas, but I guess that's off now. Pity - it might have saved the museum.
