Futuristic Aria At City Center
The centerpiece of City Center, the Aria, is giant in size and artistry. The entrance to the spa is dreamy, the lobby is huge and dwarfs waiting customers and the floor you don't see until you go up a level.

Cafes At The Aria
People lounging just off the casino among big, tree-like things. Hostesses at the futuristic Cafe Vettra greet people among green cones. And the ice cream at Chill matches the decor.

Sea Of Cranberries
At the shopping mall inside the Palazzo, they filled a pool with a sea of floating cranberries. Folk can't help but put their hands in it and the children are having lots of fun.

Glass And More Glass At City Center
If there's one word to describe the new City Center, it's glass. And reflections. People crossing the pedestrian walkway are dwarfed by the sheer size of it. The bottom photo is the entrance to the Crystals Mall - they had to put stickers on the doors, because no one could find them.

Sky Lobby At The Mandarin Hotel
You can have high tea at the just opened Mandarin Hotel all day, with a view of the Strip. But if you arrive at night, the reception desk has an astonishing view. And the tea is better enjoyed with a sparkling Vegas.

Works Of Art In City Center
Works of art are shown throughout the newly opened City Center. The mural that looks like a dart board is several stories high and quite dramatic at night; the round red circle with a brush is a giant eraser, and Chihuly, of the famous Bellagio ceiling, has his own gallery.

City Center - The Henry Moore Garden
The Henry Moore sculpture (I think it's a womb) is beautifully placed among the futuristic architecture. A man is contemplating by the contemplating pool. You can see the sculpture in the blue window of the bottom photo - it's the ending centerpiece of a luxury shopping mall, The Crystals.

Town Square
Town Square is an upscale shopping center, just south of Mandalay Bay, made to look like a Norman Rockwell, small town America. They even have statues based on Rockwell's illustrations.

People Gather In Town Square
People gather in the upscale shopping center, Town Square, south of the Mandalay Bay. In the middle, there is a village green with fake grass, where people bring their dogs. Teenagers like to hang in the lobbies of expensive shops, hoping to meet other teenagers.

The Obama Pedicure
The Obama Pedicure? I walked to one side of the building and saw an American flag, I walked to the other side and saw "Colon Cleansing $49.99". Must be an old fashioned enema. So for fifty bucks you can get an Obama Enema in Vegas.

Vegas All-You Can-Eat Buffets
Vegas has all-you-can-eat buffets - fellow blogger Suzi treated me to one at the Paris - I'll never eat again. With all the crab legs & shrimp galore, people still insist on greasy bacon and mashed & gravy. The handsome chef at the carving station is ready with his electric saw to cut you some pork loin. Go very, very hungry.

Naked City At Night
Naked City, the forgotten part of Las Vegas Boulevard between Sahara and Fremont, has character, with the pretty Tod Motel and Dino's, the last neighborhood bar.
